Delphi Hospitalist is a physician owned company that was founded in 1995 by Dr. C. Jay Ellie.
We entered the market by providing emergency medicine physician services to hospitals throughout the Rochester and Finger Lakes Region. Over time, our hospital partners developed the need for hospitalist services to respond to the rapidly changing environment. Primary care physicians became increasingly focused on their office practice and less willing to round on patients in the hospital.
There was a transformation from primary care providers delivering care in the office and hospital to increased specialization and role separation in these settings. In response to the needs of our hospital partners we founded the company Delphi Hospitalist Services.
